Custom Box Pro is a B2B e-commerce platform specializing in the manufacturing of high-quality custom boxes, plastic bottles, stickers, and pamphlets. The Challenge
This case study highlights the challenges faced during the initial development phase and the strategic solutions implemented to overcome these hurdles, leading to a successful e-commerce transformation. The initial Custom Box Pro website, built on WordPress, faced key limitations. It could not support more than 50 product listings, and alternative platforms like Shopify were rejected due to their recurring fees, which didn’t suit the client's one-time payment preference. The site also delivered a poor user experience, with product upload issues, slow performance, and limited scalability. Additionally, the lack of a sales analytics dashboard made it difficult for the admin to track performance and make informed decisions.
Our Solution
To overcome the limitations of the original site, we transitioned Custom Box Pro to a fully customized e-commerce platform using React JS. This improved scalability, performance, and user experience, making product management easier for the admin. The backend was built with Node.js and MongoDB, enabling efficient data handling, while AWS S3 was integrated to manage large file uploads like product specs and logos. A custom sales analytics dashboard, also built in React, provided detailed performance insights to support better decision-making. The new B2B website includes lead generation forms, a streamlined sales process, and a custom admin dashboard for full control over products and analytics.
Results Achieved
The new custom-built React.js platform transformed Custom Box Pro’s online presence, delivering faster performance, unlimited product scalability, and a smoother user experience. The Node.js and MongoDB backend improved data handling, while AWS S3 enabled seamless file uploads. The custom analytics dashboard provided real-time sales insights, helping data-driven decisions. Overall, the project enhanced efficiency, boosted lead generation, and strengthened the company’s global B2B presence.
